The initial consultation consists of a medical and X-ray history, along with a thorough oral examination to determine your eligibility. If the bone in your jaw is thin, you may need an additional procedure to reverse bone loss, which is called bone grafting. This will aid in building up the bone so the proper bone width and height are present for the dental implant. It is important that your jawbone is strong and your gums are healthy before you begin the implant process.
